While the Patriots didn’t need their all-pro Tight End Rob Gronkowski to advance to the AFC Conference Championship game, losing him doesn’t increase their chance of winning. While trying to make a catch in the first quarter, Gronk landed right on his forearm in an attempt to break his fall.
Albert Breer confirmed that additional surgery is required and Gronk is out for the rest of the season. The Patriots did just fine without Gronk yesterday. As long as the Pats have Brady at QB they always have a chance to win.
The Patriots will host the Ravens next Sunday at 6:30 ET on CBS.
