
Allhiphop.com reports that Former Odd Future member Cassie Veggies will be the flagship rap artist on music executive Sylvia Rhone’s new Vested in Culture (VIC) music label. Rhone has a 25-year record of working in the music business. She has served as the Chairman/CEO of the Elektra Entertainment Group and most recently as the President of Universal Motown Records. Throughout her career she has helped mold the careers of Lil Wayne, Kid Cudi, Erykah Badu, Missy Elliott, Fabolous, Melonia Fiona, Stevie Wonder, and a host of other stars.
Veggies will also have the backing of another music heavyweight. Rhone’s VIC is a part of a joint venture with Epic Records meaning she will work directly under Epic’s CEO and Chairman Antonio “L.A.” Reid.
Veggies just released his latest mixtape, Life Changes, on January 22. He is currently working on his untitled debut album that is expected to drop in 2013.
