The Oakland Raiders and free-agent cornerback Mike Jenkins have agreed to a one-year contract, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
Jenkins, who spent the past six years with theDallas Cowboys, is the second cornerback the Raiders have signed this offseason, having added Tracy Porter last week.
A former Pro Bowler, Jenkins lost his starting job last season when the Cowboys signed Brandon Carr to a five-year, $50.1 million deal and moved up in the draft to select Morris Claiborne.
I think this is a good move by Oakland. The Raiders needed to improve their secondary and it appears on paper to have done so. Now the Raiders should focus on the offense
