The Buffalo Bills were trying to lock up Jairus Byrd to a long-term deal, but the talks have stalled so they’ve chosen to use their franchise tag on the 26-year-old defender keeping the talented safety in-house. Byrd arguably is the most talented player in their secondary. Byrd was targeted 21 times last season and pulled down five interceptions without allowing a touchdown.
While I’m sure both Buffalo and Byrd would like to get a long term deal finish ASAP, $6.9 million tag placed on Byrd will keep him in Buffalo another season
